DPM Dar, Singaporean FM discuss maritime affairs, recent incidents in int'l waters

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday spoke today with Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan and discussed matters related to maritime affairs and recent incidents in international waters.

During the interaction, the Singaporean Foreign Minister appreciated DPM/FM’s efforts and Pakistan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region through facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran, a DPM's Office news release said.

DPM/FM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued efforts towards peace and development in the region and beyond.

Both the dignitaries agreed to closely coordinate between the relevant authorities of the two countries and also discussed bilateral relations and underscored the importance of high-level exchanges, and also agreed to remain in touch.
