District Welfare Committee reviews measures for special persons in Attock

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) A meeting of the District Welfare Committee was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General Aneel Saeed, with heads of relevant departments in attendance, to comprehensively review matters related to the welfare and rehabilitation of special persons and underprivileged segments of society. The session examined existing support mechanisms, while also assessing gaps in service delivery, thereby setting the stage for targeted improvements.

Addressing participants, Mr Saeed issued clear and firm directives to further enhance government-provided facilities and relief measures. He emphasised that the assistance and rehabilitation of special individuals remain among the government’s foremost priorities, adding that no negligence would be tolerated. He urged officers to act promptly and responsibly, so that vulnerable citizens receive timely and meaningful support.

During the meeting, departments presented detailed briefings on ongoing welfare initiatives, including financial aid schemes and rehabilitation programmes. Moreover, future strategies were discussed to expand outreach and strengthen institutional response. It was mutually agreed that effective inter-departmental coordination would be reinforced, as collaboration is essential for delivering sustainable and inclusive welfare outcomes.

Concluding the session, the ADCG directed officials to adopt coordinated and proactive measures to ensure improved service delivery and swift redressal of complaints. Meanwhile, the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights of special persons, therefore striving to maximise relief and ensure that welfare programmes translate into tangible benefits for those most in need.
