SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) The 14th meeting of the District Council Sukkur was held under the chairmanship of Chairmajan Syed Kumail Haider Shah. The meeting discussed the district's development, public welfare, and administrative mattan Shah announced that each member of the council will be allocated Rs. 20 million for development projects in their areas. He directed members to submit their proposed schemes by June.
The meeting approved the establishment of new police checkpoints to improve law and order. It also approved the appointment of chairmen for various sub-committees.
He announced a mosquito spray campaign to prevent malaria and dengue. Special committees will monitor the campaign.
Members presented suggestions on road repair, drainage, sanitation, and other public issues. The chairman directed officials to resolve these issues promptly.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman Veeram Khan Mahar, Assistant Commissioner (AC) City, Bushra Mansoor, Chief Officer, town committee chairmen and vice chairmen, council members, media representatives, and officials.
