District Bar Association Abbottabad announces election schedule for 2026–2027

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The Election board of the District Bar Association Abbottabad has announced the schedule for the 2026–2027 annual elections, with polling set to take place on March 28, 2026.

Fida Bahadar Khan, Advocate Supreme Court and Chairman Election Board, issued the formal notification following his appointment by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council.

He stated that the election process would be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council, and the Constitution of the District Bar Association Abbottabad.

According to the announced schedule, nomination forms will be issued on March 2, 2026, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, while submission of nomination papers will take place on March 5, 2026, during the same hours.

Scrutiny of nomination papers is scheduled for March 6, 2026, followed by withdrawal of candidatures on March 7, 2026. The final list of candidates will also be displayed on March 7, 2026.

Polling for various offices of the District Bar Association Abbottabad will be held on March 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Chairman Election Board directed candidates to ensure that all required documents are attached with their nomination papers to avoid disqualification during scrutiny.
