District administration intensifies crackdown against Illegal commercial constructions

CHICHAWATN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) The district administration stepped up a crackdown against illegal commercial constructions, sealing dozens of shops and buildings in multiple areas, the officials sources said on Tuesday.

Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Samiaullah Farooq, the District Council carried out operations targeting unauthorized structures.

During the campaign, teams led by District Officer Planning, Javed Anwar Gondal sealed 32 illegal shops and five commercial buildings in 90 Mor, Chichawatni.

In a separate drive at Bhutta Chowk (6/14-L), the officials sealed 84 additional shops for violating construction regulations.

Gondal said that illegal constructions would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that strict, indiscriminate action would continue against the violators. He emphasized that such measures were essential to safeguard public interests and ensure proper urban planning.
