District administration inspects hospital, markets; fines violators

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) The Abbottabad district administration intensified inspections of public services and markets under the provincial government's Good Governance Roadmap, with officials reviewing healthcare facilities and taking action against traders violating official regulations.

On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram, Additional Assistant Commissioner-II Muhammad Usama inspected the Type-D Hospital in Havelian, where he reviewed the availability of medicines, staff attendance, cleanliness, and patient care. He also met patients to obtain feedback and directed the hospital administration to ensure uninterrupted quality healthcare services and address all operational shortcomings.

In a separate operation, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Tariq inspected markets on Murree Road, Gami Adda, Link Road, Mandian, Jinnahabad, and Ilyasi Mosque Road. Hotels, chicken shops, fruit and vegetable vendors, butchers, and bakeries were checked for compliance with official price lists, prescribed weights, and hygiene standards. Heavy fines were imposed on violators, while cases involving serious breaches were referred for legal action through the relevant police stations.
