District admin intensifies security audit of MOL, strengthens healthcare, emergency services

KARAK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The District Administration here on Wednesday intensified efforts to improve security and public service delivery by completing a detailed security audit of the MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Plant in Makori and conducting a surprise inspection of the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Banda Daud Shah.

The inspection of the MOL facility was carried out by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and Chairman of the District Foreigner Security Cell Sahibzada Samiullah, accompanied by the DSP Banda Daud Shah and other security officials.

The team reviewed overall security arrangements, operational systems, and the availability of arms and ammunition at the site.

Officials also assessed progress on previously identified shortcomings highlighted during an earlier inspection conducted on May 8, 2025. While the overall security situation was described as satisfactory.

The authorities issued directions for immediate improvements to further strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure.

A comprehensive audit report would be compiled and shared with relevant departments for follow-up action.

Meanwhile, on the directives of the provincial government and Deputy Commissioner Karak Asad Sarwar, the Additional Deputy Commissioner conducted a surprise inspection of THQ Hospital Banda Daud Shah.

He reviewed medical facilities, staff attendance, and the availability of medicines. Although staff attendance showed improvement, concern was expressed over the prolonged absence of an X-ray technician, and immediate action was ordered in this regard.

He also directed the concerned officials to expedite the supply of essential medicines to ensure better healthcare delivery.

In a related development, a fully equipped ambulance donated by MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company was handed over to Rescue 1122 District Emergency Officer Atif Sardar.

The ambulance was aimed at strengthening emergency response services and improving the district’s capacity to handle medical emergencies efficiently.
