District admin intensifies preparations for Muharram in Dera Ismail Khan

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan, Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, on Friday visited various Imambargahs and procession routes across the city to review and finalize arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

The visit was aimed at ensuring the provision of all necessary facilities to mourners and assessing preparedness ahead of the holy month.

Officials of the concerned departments, revenue field staff, and representatives of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) accompanied the assistant commissioner during the inspection.

Dr. Hamid Siddiq reviewed arrangements related to street lighting, cleanliness, drainage, and other civic facilities along the designated routes.

He directed the relevant departments to complete all necessary measures well before the commencement of Muharram to ensure that mourners do not face any inconvenience.

Speaking on the occasion, the assistant commissioner said that the district administration was utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order and provide essential civic amenities during Muharram-ul-Haram.

He reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful environment and facilitating mourners through coordinated efforts of all concerned departments.
