District admin ensures price stability in vegetable market during Ramazan

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) Acting on the directives of the provincial government, the Additional Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ali Khan along with District food Controller Aman Khan visited the vegetable market at Ratta Kulachi early Sunday morning to supervise the auction process of vegetables, fruits and other agricultural commodities.

The officials, accompanied by the tehsildar and officers of the Agriculture Department, monitored the bidding process to ensure complete transparency. On the spot price fixation was reviewed and an official price list was issued in accordance with government policy.

The commission agents, traders and shopkeepers were strictly directed to sell quality vegetables and fruits at the notified rates. They were warned that legal action would be taken against violators found overcharging or supplying substandard items.

During the visit, the overall cleanliness situation in the market was also reviewed and instructions were issued to further improve sanitation and ensure timely disposal of waste.

Necessary arrangements were also made to regulate traffic flow and facilitate smooth movement of buyers and traders amid the rush.
