Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Mar, 2026) Acting on the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and in view of the prevailing situation, Assistant Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Syed Muhammad Arsalan conducted inspections of petrol pumps located on Northern Circular Road, Tank Road, and Dinpur Road to ensure compliance with official regulations.
During the operation, a total of five petrol pumps were inspected where the stock and sales records of petroleum products were thoroughly examined. The inspection teams identified instances of overcharging and other violations at four petrol pumps, upon which a cumulative fine of Rs62,000 was imposed.
Later, a meeting was also held with petroleum product dealers and union representatives. The assistant commissioner strictly directed them to refrain from hoarding petroleum products and ensure the sale of fuel at officially notified rates.
He warned that the government would not tolerate hoarding or profiteering under any circumstances and that strict legal action would be taken against those found violating the rules.
