District Accounts Office solve the problems of GP Funds, Pensions timely:Akbar Jagirani

LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jul, 2026) The Regional Director of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Ali Akbar Jagirani said that the issues of serving and retired government employees should be resolved without unnecessary delay. Salaries, pensions, General Provident (GP) Fund payments, and other dues should be released promptly after fulfilling all legal requirements. Cases facing procedural hurdles should be forwarded to the Accountant General Sindh for approval.

He expressed these views while addressing an open forum (Khuli Kachehri) held at the District Accounts Office Larkana on Tuesday to resolve employees' grievances.He said that all pending dues, particularly GP Fund and pension payments, should be cleared on time so that employees do not face unnecessary hardship. He further directed that a detailed report be submitted regarding employees who have already received their payments, as well as those whose payments are still pending.

Addressing the complainants, he advised them to submit all required documents to the Ombudsman's office so that their cases could be forwarded to the competent authorities for necessary action.

On the occasion, District Accounts Officer Larkana, Zameer Hussain Khokhar, said that the issues of all employees are being addressed without unnecessary delay. However, he emphasized that employees must submit complete documentation and fulfill all legal requirements. He added that old cases dating from 1986 onwards would be forwarded to the Accountant General Sindh for approval so that they could be resolved.

During the open forum, Additional District Accounts Officer Larkana, Abdul Fattah Soomro, instructed the office staff to expedite all pending cases, particularly those related to GP Fund and other outstanding dues. He further stated that pending pension claims and other arrears would be released after obtaining approval from the Accountant General Sindh.

Approximately 10 complaints were received during the open forum, and they were addressed on the spot. The complainants included Abdul Haq, Abid Hussain, and others representing various government departments.Additional District Accounts Officer (II) Abdul Rasheed Dahar, along with other concerned officials, was also present at the event.
