NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) District Administration Continued it's crackdown on Profiteers for fourteenth consecutive day of Ramazan on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani. The action was initiated across all four talukas including Nawabshah, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed, and Daur.
Assistant Commissioners and Mukhtiarkars conducted inspections in various markets, vegetable and fruit shops, and roadside vendors within their respective jurisdictions. During the operations, a total of 47 shopkeepers were fined Rs49,000 for overcharging customers.
According to details, in Taluka Nawabshah, 23 shopkeepers were fined Rs23,000; in Taluka Daur, 14 shopkeepers were fined Rs16,000; in Taluka Sakrand, 3 shopkeepers were fined Rs3,000; and in Taluka Qazi Ahmed, 7 shopkeepers were fined Rs7,000.
On the fourteenth of Ramazan, revenue officers inspected a total of 153 shops and carts across the four talukas. Out of these, 47 shopkeepers were fined on the spot for charging prices above the official rates, and the fines were recovered immediately.
District administration said that daily operations would continue throughout Ramazan to provide relief to public and ensure implementation of official price lists.
