DIKhan market auction held under strict monitoring in Ramazan

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) In line with directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government during the holy month of Ramazan, Assistant Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Khattak on Thursday supervised the auction of vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural commodities at the Ratta Kulachi Stadium vegetable market.

Officials from the food Department were also present, ensuring a transparent bidding process. Official price lists were issued to keep rates in check for Ramazan.

The Assistant Commissioner directed commission agents and shopkeepers to provide quality items at government-notified prices, warning of strict legal action against profiteering and violations, especially during Ramazan.

He also reviewed cleanliness and traffic arrangements in the market, issuing instructions for further improvement.

According to an official statement, the district administration is actively working during Ramazan to provide relief to

citizens, control prices, and prevent hoarding and overcharging.
