LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana on Saturday said the timely registration of foreign nationals was essential for an effective immigration and comprehensive security system.
In a statement, the CCPO said the registration and document verification of foreign nationals was being carried out through a modern digital system, while all legal facilities, including registration, were being provided under one roof.
He said the movement and stay of foreign nationals were being recorded through an advanced digital mechanism, adding that the Foreigners Branch remained committed to providing timely and quality services.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>A police spokesperson said the Foreigners Branch had registered the arrival of 447 foreign nationals so far this year, while 329 departures and 118 temporary stays had also been recorded.
According to the spokesperson, the arrivals included 274 Afghan, 91 Indian and 82 Somali nationals. During the same period, the departures comprised 229 Afghan, 62 Indian and 38 Somali nationals, while 45 Afghan, 29 Indian and 44 Somali nationals are currently residing in Pakistan on a temporary basis.
