DIG Sukkur Orders Tightened Security Across the Range

SUKKUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sukkur, Nasir Aftab on Sunday has directed authorities to further strengthen security across the Sukkur Range.

According to the directive, security at entry and exit points of the range, border areas of Sindh adjoining Balochistan and Punjab, sensitive installations, railway stations, bus terminals, public places, and key government buildings is to be enhanced.

Security, snap checking, and patrolling on highways and major roads will also be made more effective.

All district SSPs have been instructed to review security arrangements in their respective districts. Additional measures are to be implemented at cattle markets, bazaars, and public gathering points in cities and surrounding areas.

The directive further calls for improved intelligence sharing between police, Special Branch, and other law enforcement agencies in districts bordering Balochistan and Punjab.

The public has been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police helpline Madadgar 15 or the nearest police station.
