DIG Rana Umar reviews security of Chinese nationals with SSP SPU

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security Islamabad Rana Umar Farooq held a meeting with SSP Special Protection Unit (SPU) Arsalan Shahzeb to review security arrangements for Chinese nationals and other important security matters in the Federal capital.

An official told APP on Tuesday that SSP SPU Arsalan Shahzeb briefed the DIG Umar regarding security measures in place for Chinese nationals and overall operational preparedness of the Special Protection Unit.

The official said detailed discussions were held on further strengthening security arrangements and improving coordination among security formations.

DIG Security Rana Umar issued directions to further enhance security measures and ensure effective monitoring and response mechanisms for protection of foreign nationals and sensitive installations.

He emphasized that Islamabad Police remained fully committed to maintaining a secure environment and ensuring foolproof security arrangements across the federal capital.
