DIG Prisons visits Shahpur Jail

Deputy Inspector General of Prisons Sargodha Region Saeedullah Gondal paid a surprise visit to District Jail Shahpur

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) Deputy Inspector General of Prisons Sargodha Region Saeedullah Gondal paid a surprise visit to District Jail Shahpur.

During this visit, he inspected various departments of the jail and reviewed the administrative matters including security.

On this occasion, Superintendent District Jail Shahpur Abu Bakr Abdullah gave a detailed briefing to the DIG regarding the administrative matters of the jail, security arrangements and facilities provided to the prisoners.

DIG Saeedullah Gondal also specially reviewed the Sehri and Iftar meals provided to the prisoners and checked the quality of the food.

On this occasion, it was informed by the jail administration that the prisoners are being provided quality food as per the prescribed menu for Sehri and Iftar.

The DIG Prisons directed that the quality of food provided to the prisoners, cleanliness and other facilities should be maintained at all times so that the prisoners do not face any kind of problem. He appreciated the performance of the jail administration and also issued necessary instructions for further improvement.
