DIG Islamabad reviews Fajr-time security at Masajid, Imambargahs

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq visited various masajid and imambargahs during Fajr prayers to review security arrangements and operational vigilance.

A police spokesperson told APP on Sunday that the DIG Tariq inspected security deployment, checking mechanisms, and overall preparedness of police officers performing duties at places of worship.

DIG Tariq met officers on duty and issued clear directives to ensure heightened alertness, effective monitoring of entry and exit points, and the responsible discharge of duties.

He emphasized that maintaining a safe and peaceful environment for worshippers remains a top priority, particularly during sensitive timings.
