DIG Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti directs strict action against crime, calls for improved public services

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti on Monday chaired an online meeting with District Police Officers (DPOs) to review the overall law and order situation and performance of police units across the region.

The meeting discussed key issues including improvement in police facilitation centers, ongoing operations against drug traffickers, arrests in murder and attempted murder cases, crime prevention strategies, and measures to enhance security for Chinese nationals.

The DIG directed that all services at police facilitation centers be made available at every desk to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to the public. He emphasized transparency, speed, and a citizen-friendly approach in these centers.

Taking a strict stance on serious crimes, he ordered immediate arrests of suspects involved in murder and attempted murder cases, directing officers to utilize all available resources and show no leniency towards those involved in heinous offenses.

He also instructed police to intensify the crackdown on drug dealers, stressing the need for strict measures to protect the youth and dismantle drug networks completely.

Directing DPOs to enhance field operations, the DIG called for improved intelligence-based operations, better patrolling, and effective strategies to curb criminal activities across different areas.

He further ordered strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding the security of Chinese nationals, warning that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

The DIG also highlighted the importance of ensuring the welfare and well-being of police personnel, urging officers to take practical steps in this regard.
