DIG Hazara inaugurates modern police facilitation center at Havelian

Speaking on the occasion, he said that under the vision of IGP Zulfiqar Hameed, Police Facilitation Centers are equipped with modern resources to provide prompt, transparent and citizen-centric policing services in a professional environment.

He said the initiative reflects the commitment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to enhance public trust and improve service delivery through modern policing standards. He added that under its public-friendly policing policy, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is taking effective measures to provide accessible, efficient and fair police services to citizens.

The DIG Hazara said the purpose of Police Facilitation Centers is to provide multiple police-related services under one platform, saving citizens from unnecessary visits to different offices and making the overall process easier.

He informed that 19 Police Facilitation Centers are already functional in the Hazara region, while further measures are underway to expand these services to the tehsil level so that the public can benefit from modern and citizen-focused policing facilities.

He said the initiative would further strengthen public confidence in the police. The Police Facilitation Center (PSM) in Havelian will offer a comprehensive range of public services, including character certificates for both national and international purposes, police clearance certificates, tenant registration (TIF), services at the foreigners desk, and reporting of lost documents. These facilities are aimed at ensuring efficient, transparent and convenient service delivery under one platform.

On the occasion, DIG Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti appreciated the efforts of DPO Abbottabad Haroon Ur Rasheed Khan and his team. He also directed the staff posted at the Police Facilitation Center to perform their duties with dedication and treat public service as their top priority.

He instructed police personnel to maintain polite behavior, respect and courtesy while dealing with citizens so that people feel safe and dignified. He emphasized creating an environment where citizens can comfortably discuss their issues without hesitation. He further directed officials to listen patiently to public complaints, provide accurate information and guidance, and ensure timely resolution of issues without unnecessary delays to maintain public trust.
