DIG chaired DPC approves promotion of 89 ASIs, 54 HCs

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) A meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee of Hyderabad Range Police here on Monday approved promotions of 89 Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) and 54 Head Constables to the next rank.

The police spokesman informed that the meeting, chaired by DIG Tariq Razzak Dharejo, considered 108 cases of promotions of the ASIs and 55 of the HCs.However, he added, the DPC deferred 14 cases and ordered inquiry against 5.

He told that after the due process the 89 ASIs would be promoted as Sub Inspectors and the 54 HCs as the ASIs.

The SSPs of all the districts in the Hyderabad Police Range besides other officials attended the meeting.
