DI Khan wildlife staff book 11 poachers under wildlife act

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The staff of the Wildlife Department carried out a successful search and strike operation against illegal duck poaching in the Indus Game Reserve under the supervision of Range Officer Asmatullah Khan of the Waterfowl Wildlife Range, DI Khan.

During the operation, 11 cases were registered against poachers under the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife and Biodiversity Act, 2015.

An amount of Rs 150,000 was recovered as compensation.

Officials appreciated the performance and bravery of the staff of the Wildlife Division and reiterated their commitment to strict enforcement of wildlife protection laws.
