DI Khan police foil terrorist attack on Kuthi check post; brave cops rewarded

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, on Friday visited Kuthi Check Post and appreciated police personnel for successfully repulsing a terrorist attack carried out the previous night.

During the visit, DSP Suburb Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan briefed the DPO on the details of the attack and the subsequent retaliatory action taken by police personnel stationed at the check post.

The DPO lauded the courage, professionalism and timely response of the police officials, stating that their brave and effective action thwarted the terrorists' nefarious designs and prevented any major loss.

He awarded cash prizes to the personnel in recognition of their exceptional performance and encouraged them to continue performing their duties with the same dedication and commitment.

"The prompt and effective response of our personnel forced the terrorists to retreat. Dera police are fully capable of dealing with all kinds of threats and remain committed to protecting the lives and property of the people," the DPO said.

Ziauddin Ahmed also inspected the damage caused to the check post during the attack and directed the concerned officials to immediately start repair and reconstruction work and ensure its early completion.

The visit reaffirmed the resolve of Dera Ismail Khan Police to maintain peace and security in the district and continue operations against elements seeking to disrupt law and order, according to a police spokesman.
