DG LDA reviews progress of Data Darbar extension, Bhatti chowk underpass projects

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jun, 2026) Director General of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Tahir Farooq, visited the Data Darbar Extension Project and the under-construction Bhati Chowk Underpass to review the progress of development works.

During the visit, Chief Engineer TEPA Iqrar Hussain and the project director briefed the DG LDA on the status of both projects.

Officials informed him that work on the parking area and toilet block at the Data Darbar Extension Project is progressing simultaneously.

Tahir Farooq directed the concerned authorities to ensure the highest standards of quality in finishing works.

Briefing the DG LDA, the Chief Engineer TEPA said that additional teams have been deployed to expedite the upgradation of properties surrounding Data Darbar.

He further stated that construction activities on the Bhati Chowk Underpass are continuing round the clock, while excavation work for the project has already been completed.
