ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has urged people to observe holy month of Ramazan with renewed compassion and solidarity, calling for strong support to the families of martyrs, detainees and other vulnerable sections of society.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the DFP in a message issued in connection with Ramazan extended greetings to the faithful and prayed that the sacred month brings peace, prosperity, justice and stability in the lives of the people.

The party said Ramazan is a month of kindness, harmony and gratitude, urging people to come together under the banner of compassion and empathy. It stressed the need to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW) by serving humanity and offering relief to those suffering and in distress.

The DFP said true generosity lies in utilizing one’s resources to fulfil the needs of the poor, comfort the distressed and extend kindness to all sections of society.

Citing Quranic teachings, the party reminded that real success lies in serving others and striving for the life hereafter while fulfilling responsibilities in this world.

The statement said Kashmiris, despite facing prolonged hardships and challenges, have upheld a remarkable tradition of brotherhood, sharing and resilience. It added that the nation has always stood united in times of adversity and must continue to strengthen this collective spirit.

While urging people to carry forward this legacy of compassion, the DFP emphasised that the sacrifices of martyrs should not be forgotten. It called for extending support and solidarity to the families of martyrs, detainees enduring long imprisonment and those who have suffered physical and psychological scars due to the ongoing conflict.

The party appealed to the people blessed with wealth and stability to step forward and assist the underprivileged, stressing that alleviating hunger, quenching thirst and supporting weaker segments of society should remain the foremost priority during the blessed month of Ramazan.
