Development work reviewed

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) A meeting of the Divisional Development Working Party was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali in which various development schemes were reviewed in Sargodha, Bhakkar and Khushab for the Annual Development Program 2026-27.

Several development schemes of the Highways Department and the board of Revenue were presented for approval in the meeting. It was informed in the briefing that under the City Development Package, it has been proposed to include 11 important road construction and repair schemes in Sargodha city in the development program of the next financial year so that better travel facilities can be provided to the citizens. Similarly, various schemes for the construction and repair of seven roads in Bhakkar district have been proposed for the next financial year.

The meeting was further informed that two schemes of the Board of Revenue in Bhakkar district and one in Khushab district have been presented for inclusion in the development program. Commissioner Sargodha directed that the Deputy Commissioners should conduct a detailed review of the schemes presented in their districts according to their importance and need. He directed the concerned departments to complete the necessary NOCs and other legal requirements regarding the schemes in a timely manner so that after approval, the schemes can be sent to the Punjab government for further action. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, as well as the Director Development, SEs Highways, Buildings, XEN and related officers.
