Dera Police chief reviews security after Daraban Police Station attack

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, visited Daraban Police Station on Saturday to review the overall security situation following an attack carried out by militants the previous night.

During the visit, DSP Daraban Inam Khan Gandapur and Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Ismail briefed the DPO on the incident and the response taken by police personnel. The DPO appreciated the timely and effective action of the officers and commended their professionalism and bravery. He also announced cash rewards for the personnel as encouragement.

Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said that Dera police remained fully prepared to tackle all kinds of threats and would continue to respond with vigilance and determination.

Later, he visited the adjoining market near the police station, where he met shopkeepers affected by the blast. Expressing solidarity, he assured them of full support from the police and reaffirmed that all necessary measures were being taken to ensure public safety.

The DPO reiterated that the police stood shoulder to shoulder with the people and would utilize all available resources to prevent any untoward incidents.
