Dera police arrest proclaimed offender wanted in murder case for 15 years

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The district police have arrested a proclaimed offender who had been wanted in a murder case for the past 15 years.

According to police spokesman the operation was carried out within the jurisdiction of Shorkot police station.

Police said the action was conducted on the directives of District Police Officer(DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, under the supervision of SP City Muhammad Nauman and the leadership of DSP Suburb Circle Hafiz Muhammad Adnan.

Station House Officer(SHO) Shorkot Aftab Alam Baloch led the raid against proclaimed offenders, resulting in the arrest of suspect Sanaullah, son of Mumtaz Khan of the Marwat tribe and resident of Malazai, Tank.

He said that the accused had been wanted by Tank police in a murder case and had remained absconding for several years.

Further legal proceedings are underway following his arrest.

Speaking on the occasion, DSP Hafiz Muhammad Adnan said operations against criminal elements would continue without discrimination and that lawbreakers would be dealt with firmly.
