RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2026) A meeting was held under the District Emergency Response Committee (DERC) to review dengue prevention measures with representatives of cooperative housing societies in Rawalpindi.
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Abdul Rehman Khan and attended by officials of various departments, housing societies and other stakeholders.
Participants reviewed ongoing anti-dengue activities across the district and directed societies to complete their micro-planning, action plans and logistics arrangements to tackle potential risks.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The additional deputy commissioner instructed societies to ensure regular cleanliness and monitoring of open plots, graveyards and vacant areas to eliminate dengue breeding sites.
He emphasized that all departments and societies must work in coordination to ensure success of the anti-dengue campaign.
It was decided that a follow-up meeting would be held after five days to review progress and targets. Societies were also directed to ensure timely registration and reporting of anti-dengue activities on the Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) dashboard.
