Defence Minister terms Zionism a threat to humanity

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif termed Zionism a threat to humanity, alleging that since the establishment of Israel on Palestinian land, various crises and wars in the Islamic world have carried the direct or indirect influence of Zionist ideology.

"Zionism is a threat to humanity. From the establishment of Israel on the land of Palestine until today, every catastrophe that has befallen the Islamic world, every war imposed upon it, will show the direct or indirect hand of Zionist ideology and the state,” the minister posted on his social media handle X.

He said that Zionism has controlled the global economic system for a century and that major world powers are under its influence. The objective behind the war against Iran is to bring Israeli influence closer to Pakistan’s borders, alleging that the conflict was imposed on Iran despite its willingness to agree to a deal, he said.

The minister warned that a joint agenda involving Afghanistan, Iran, and India could, in his view, create security challenges for Pakistan by surrounding it with hostile forces and undermining its sovereignty.

Highlighting Pakistan’s nuclear capability, he said the country’s armed forces are recognized worldwide for their strength and professionalism.

He paid tribute to the nation’s martyrs and veterans for safeguarding sovereignty. He acknowledged the role of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in conducting nuclear tests that declared Pakistan a nuclear power.

Calling for unity among the country’s 250 million citizens, regardless of political or religious affiliation, the minister urged vigilance against what he described as conspiracies targeting Pakistan and the wider Islamic world.

He also expressed solidarity with Palestine and offered prayers for the Muslim world's strength, security, and unity.
