DDC approves FESCO, municipal corporation Development Schemes

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) A meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry, at the DC Office conference room on Thursday.

According to the spokesperson for the DC office here, during the meeting, approval was granted for 14 development schemes of FESCO aimed at providing electricity to various rural settlements and villages across the district. The projects are estimated to cost Rs. 26.3 million.

The committee also approved patchwork and rehabilitation schemes for Sabzi Mandi Road, Railway Road, Furniture Market Road, and Aray Wala Road under the Municipal Corporation.

The estimated cost of these road rehabilitation projects is Rs. 61.2 million.

Addressing the meeting, the DC said that the provision of basic facilities to citizens remains the top priority of the Punjab government.

He directed the concerned departments to complete the approved development schemes within the stipulated timelines and ensure high construction standards so that citizens could benefit from improved transportation and urban facilities.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Development Mahtab Yaseen, XEN Construction FESCO Mazhar Iqbal, Managing Director WASA Rao Abu Bakar, and other officials concerned.
