SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The District Development Committee (DDC) on Wednesday approved as many as 147 development schemes in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhary.
According to an official spokesperson, the committee reviewed both ongoing and proposed development projects in detail. Of the approved schemes, two belong to the Buildings Department, while the remaining 145 fall under the Local Government sector.
Officials informed the meeting that the approved projects would be forwarded to the Government of Punjab for inclusion in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, where funds are expected to be allocated.
The meeting was attended by the deputy director development, chief executive officer (health), executive engineer highways, managing director WASA and other relevant officers.
Addressing the participants, the deputy commissioner directed departments to ensure advance planning for the timely execution of schemes, stressing that no compromise should be made on quality.
He added that projects must be implemented efficiently to improve public service delivery and facilitate citizens.
