DC visits various areas of city to inspection development work, cleanliness

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza conducted a detailed inspection of the under-construction

street vendors’ market in Mela Wali Gali and reviewed the progress of ongoing upgradation works.

He also examined the installation of tough tiles outside Mela Wali Gali and directed the concerned authorities to further accelerate the pace of work to ensure timely completion of development projects.

The Deputy Commissioner stated that the upgradation of the street vendors’ market will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area but will also provide improved and modern facilities to citizens and traders. He also inspected construction activities at the street vendors’ market near One Unit Chowk and reiterated the administration’s commitment to completing the project within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high construction standards.

He emphasized that the market is being developed in a modern and organized manner to provide a clean and pleasant environment for the public.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the public park and Eidgah located nearby. He directed the relevant departments to reinstall damaged tough tiles in the park and focus on its beautification. Instructions were issued for immediate pruning of trees and plants, restoration of the park’s fountain, and plantation of grass in vacant areas.
