TANK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Jamshed Khan has announced a series of development and public welfare initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, livestock productivity and civic services across the district.
Speaking during a visit to the District Press Club, the deputy commissioner said the Livestock Department would be modernized and farmers would be provided with high-quality artificial insemination semen of superior breeds to enhance livestock productivity and improve animal quality.
He also revealed plans for the construction of a modern slaughterhouse in Tank, saying the project would help ensure better hygiene standards and support the local livestock sector.
Highlighting ongoing infrastructure projects, Jamshed Khan said that the work had formally commenced on the Pezu Road project, while the Pir Kuch Bypass Road had entered its final phase of completion. He noted that both projects would significantly improve transportation facilities and accelerate the district’s development.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The deputy commissioner directed heads of government departments to ensure regular attendance in their offices and perform their duties responsibly to address public concerns effectively. He stressed that beautification funds should be utilized transparently to enhance the city’s appearance and improve residents’ quality of life.
He further pledged to ensure the provision of clean drinking water to citizens and assured that issues faced by the Press Club and the journalist community would be addressed on a priority basis.
On this occasion, District Press Club President Syed Badshah Kundi, Kifayatullah Paracha, Sheikh Rehmatullah and other journalists were present. Members of the journalist community shared their concerns and suggestions, to which the deputy commissioner assured full cooperation and support.
