DC reviews sewage operations on Jhang Road

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir visited different areas of Jhang Road and reviewed the sewage operations, here on Wednesday. Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza was also present.

The DC directed WASA officers to make maximum machinery operational on Bhutta Road, Nematabad Road and Alpha Road. He stressed on taking special steps to resolve the sewage problems in the areas adjacent to Bhutta Road, including Mukhtar Colony, Toka Road and others.

The deputy commissioner ordered to seal factories releasing water on Alpha Road and clarified that factories would not be allowed to release excess water till the Eid holidays.

He also reviewed the laying of the trunk sewer pipeline of the ongoing development scheme on Jhang Road under the management of WASA and directed to complete it by June 15.

The WASA managing director said that work of laying the main trunk sewer pipeline on Jhang Road had been further accelerated and it would be completed as per the stipulated time frame.
