BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza visited the Ramzan Sasta (Relief) Bazaar established in Bahawalpur in connection with the holy month of Ramadan.
He reviewed in detail the availability of essential food items, their prices, and the facilities being provided to the public. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Tayyab and officers of relevant departments accompanied him during the visit. The Deputy Commissioner inspected various stalls and checked the availability and sale of vegetables, fruits, flour, sugar, pulses, and other essential commodities at officially fixed rates.
He also interacted directly with shoppers to seek feedback regarding the facilities and arrangements at the Ramzan Bazaar.
Issuing instructions to the concerned officials, he directed that daily monitoring of essential commodity prices must be ensured so that the relief provided by the Government of Punjab genuinely reaches the public.
He emphasized that official price lists should be prominently displayed and strictly enforced. Syed Hassan Raza also stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of goods. He directed that fresh and standard-quality items must be supplied in accordance with prescribed standards, and immediate action be taken against vendors selling substandard products.
He further stated that the Primary objective of establishing the Ramzan Relief Bazaar is to provide quality food items to citizens at reasonable and controlled prices. Therefore, all officers and staff must perform their duties with honesty and a strong sense of responsibility. He also instructed that cleanliness, security, and parking arrangements be properly managed to ensure a smooth and hassle-free shopping experience for citizens.
