DC reviews polio campaign arrangements

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali chaired a meeting of the District Polio Eradication

Committee to review arrangements for the campaign scheduled to begin in April.

The meeting was attended by CEO Health Dr Aslam Chaudhry, Dr Shiraz Masood, WHO representative Dr Haider and officials of the health department and other relevant departments.

Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner directed the authorities to prepare a comprehensive micro-plan for the campaign and ensure that no child in the district is left without the polio vaccine. She said polio teams should visit door to door to administer drops to all children under five years of age and no area should be neglected.

She also stressed effective monitoring of teams during the campaign and directed officials to promptly address any issues arising during the drive to ensure its success.
