DC reviews development projects in Bhera Tehsil

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sargodha Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive visit to Tehsil Bhera to inspect various ongoing development initiatives including protective embankments, road construction, and the Walled City restoration project.

During his visit to Wadhan village, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the construction and reinforcement of protective embankments where he was briefed by the Executive Engineer (XEN) Irrigation and Deputy Director Development.

He directed that the protection of populations living along the riverbanks must be the top priority and ordered the use of high-quality materials while accelerating the pace of work.

At village Sardar Pur Noon, the DC inspected the progress of a road construction project and instructed the XEN Roads and Assistant Commissioner to ensure completion within the stipulated timeframe with a functional drainage system.

He also visited the Bhera Walled City project, emphasizing that the restoration of historical buildings must preserve their original cultural identity and significance.

Reviewing schemes under the Punjab Development Program, the Deputy Commissioner stressed transparency in fund utilization, regular monitoring, and effective inter-departmental coordination to achieve public interest goals.

Furthermore, the DC visited the Nigehban Sahulat Bazaar to monitor the availability, quality, and prices of essential commodities.

He directed the relevant officers to ensure public relief by displaying official rate lists prominently and establishing an effective mechanism for grievance redress, particularly to facilitate citizens during the month of Ramazan.
