SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Sunday visited City road and Katchery bazaar to inspect the progress of ongoing beautification and development projects being executed under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner that work on shifting electrical installations underground on City Road was in full swing, replacing overhead wires and transformers with a modern system scheduled for timely completion.
The project also includes the renovation of shop facades to ensure a uniform and aesthetically pleasing appearance, alongside the conversion of these major markets into dedicated pedestrian zones.
Modern and standardized signage boards would be installed in front of all commercial outlets to streamline the visual landscape of the city’s Primary business centers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhary said that Sargodha city was being transformed into a modern urban center in line with the provincial government's priorities to provide better facilities to citizens.
He further directed the relevant departments to ensure high-quality construction and strict adherence to the project timeline.
