DC reviews city drainage,urges monsoon preparedness

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC),Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry on Friday chaired a key meeting with WASA and Irrigation department officials to review the city’s sewerage and rainwater drainage systems.

The session covered NOCs for sewer force main crossings near the Lower Jhelum Canal,canal connections for rainwater management at Lower Jhelum Canal and Mitha Lak and outlet structures on FS Drain.

Officials also discussed preparations for cleaning and de-silting FS and Mona drains ahead of the upcoming monsoon.

DC directed all departments to work in coordination to ensure timely maintenance,aiming to prevent waterlogging in urban areas.
