DC reviews Child Protection Bureau,Waste water Project

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner(DC),Syed Hassan Raza on Wednesday visited the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau and an under-construction wastewater well near the Yazman Road railway bridge to review ongoing development works.

During the visit,he inspected the underground waste water well and reviewed the pace of work, construction quality and safety measures.

Officials from WASA and other departments briefed him on the project, which aims to provide a permanent solution to sewerage issues in urban areas, particularly along Yazman Road and adjoining localities.

The DC directed authorities to ensure timely completion of the project without compromising on quality, adding that addressing sewerage problems remains a top priority of the district administration.

Later,he visited the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, where he inspected different sections, including under-construction areas.

He reviewed progress on the new block and instructed officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.

He also examined the newly constructed kitchen,checking fixtures and structural components and emphasized the use of high-quality materials.

DC Syed Hassan Raza said that providing a safe, clean and well-equipped environment for children at the facility was a fundamental responsibility of the administration, directing officials to ensure proper construction standards, cleanliness, safety arrangements and provision of basic facilities.

He further stressed the need to expedite efforts to improve the welfare and future prospects of children residing at the institution.
