DC reviews building plans in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi chaired a meeting of the District Planning and Design Committee to review building plans of various construction projects proposed in the city.

According to official sources, the meeting examined several building plans, particularly those related to schools and hospitals. The deputy commissioner expressed concern over insufficient parking space in some proposed projects.

She directed the authorities concerned to revise the building plans and ensure adequate parking facilities to prevent traffic congestion and roadside parking in busy areas.

The deputy commissioner further instructed that basement parking should be included in the projects wherever possible to avoid haphazard parking outside educational institutions and hospitals.

Chief Officer District Council Syed Faraz Mehdi and officers of the relevant departments also attended the meeting.
