DC reviews beautification, heatwave relief arrangements at Farid Gate

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing development and beautification work at Farid Gate and also visited the heatstroke relief camp established at the historic site in view of the intense heatwave conditions.

During the visit, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Iqra Mubeen and other concerned officials accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.

Reviewing the progress of the development project, the Deputy Commissioner directed the relevant authorities to ensure timely completion of all works in accordance with high construction standards.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed authorities to improve street lighting, install tough tiles, restore footpaths, and further strengthen the cleanliness system around Farid Gate.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the heatstroke camp established at Farid Gate to review facilities being provided to the public during the ongoing heatwave. He inspected arrangements at the camp, including the availability of cold drinking water and other medical and safety facilities.
