RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema on Tuesday chaired an important meeting to review arrangements for cattle markets to be set up on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The meeting was attended by all assistant commissioners, officers of relevant departments and representatives of administrative institutions.
A detailed review was conducted regarding provision of facilities to citizens, including parking, lighting, clean drinking water, waste management and smooth flow of traffic.
The meeting decided to establish special counters of the Livestock Department at cattle markets to provide facilities related to animal health, vaccination, disease diagnosis and immediate medical assistance.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Officials were directed to ensure regular spray, disinfection measures and presence of vet teams to prevent the spread of diseases among animals and maintain a healthy environment.
The deputy commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure effective arrangements for cleanliness, security and medical facilities at cattle markets and to set up information desks to guide citizens.
He reaffirmed that in line with the directions of the Punjab government, all possible facilities would be provided to the public during Eid-ul-Azha, adding that the administration would continuously monitor arrangements to avoid inconvenience to citizens.
