DC Rawalpindi Nadeem Nasir assumes additional charge as DG RDA

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Capt. (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir has assumed additional charge as Director General (DG) of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) here on Monday.

Upon his arrival at the RDA headquarters, he was received by Additional Director General RDA Masood Ahmad Bukhari, Director Administration Nosheen Israr and other senior officers of the authority.

Chairing an introductory meeting with RDA officers, Capt. (Retd.) Nadeem directed them to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, professionalism, commitment and a strong sense of public service.

He emphasised strict adherence to government policies, rules and regulations, while ensuring transparency, merit, accountability and the timely disposal of official matters.

The newly appointed DG called for enhanced coordination among departments, expeditious implementation of ongoing development projects, intensified action against illegal housing schemes and unauthorised constructions, and improved service delivery for the facilitation of the public.

He said protection of public interest, planned urban development and effective enforcement of laws would remain among the Authority's foremost priorities.

Nasir also directed officers to maintain close liaison with stakeholders, ensure prompt redressal of public complaints and adopt a proactive approach towards resolving administrative and development-related issues.

He warned that negligence, delay or indiscipline in official duties would not be tolerated and stressed that all officials must perform their responsibilities with dedication and integrity.

Reaffirming the Authority's commitment to the vision of the Government of Punjab, he said the RDA would continue to pursue transparent governance, sustainable urban development, effective regulation and the provision of efficient, citizen-centric public services.
