FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir directed all concerned departments to accelerate anti-dengue field activities and ensure strict monitoring of dengue hotspots across the district to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne disease.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee for Dengue Prevention held here to review anti-dengue arrangements, surveillance activities and departmental performance.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Adil Umar, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sadar Dr Zulqarnain Wattoo, District Health Officer (DHO), entomologists and officers of relevant departments attended the meeting.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>During session, the participants conducted a detailed review of ongoing anti-dengue operations, surveillance measures and preventive activities being carried out throughout the district.
Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner stressed the need for timely identification and elimination of dengue larvae and directed the field teams to further speed up inspection and surveillance activities.
