The Islamabad district administration has enforced an open door policy under which Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad meets citizens every day to hear public issues

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) The Islamabad district administration has enforced an open door policy under which Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad meets citizens every day to hear public issues.

The initiative aims to ensure direct access to the administration and quick action on complaints, said the spokesman of ICT administration here.

According to officials, the Deputy Commissioner holds daily meetings with residents who visit the office with different concerns. During these sessions, citizens share problems related to civic services, land matters, municipal complaints and other administrative issues.

The DC listens to each case and issues instructions to relevant officers on the spot to address the complaints.

Officials from different departments are directed to review the cases and take action without delay.

The district administration said the open door policy is part of efforts to improve communication between the public and government offices. It allows citizens to present their concerns directly to the administration instead of waiting for long procedures.

Authorities added that officers have been told to ensure follow-up on the instructions given during these meetings. Reports on the progress of complaints are also reviewed to confirm that issues raised by citizens are resolved.

The administration said the daily interaction with citizens helps identify problems and enables departments to respond in a timely manner.
