HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) On the first day of Ramazan, Deputy Commissioner Matari Muhammad Yusuf Sheikh visited the city and made a detailed review of the prices and management of daily use items.

Assistant Commissioner Matari Abdul Sattar Sheikh was also present with him on this occasion.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner visited bachat bazaar including vegetable and fruit market, meat and fish market and strictly checked the implementation of fixed prices. He also inspected the stalls of sugar and flour set up in the bachat bazaar and directed the people to supply the goods at reasonable prices.

The Deputy Commissioner, who reviewed the cleanliness and lighting arrangements in the city, directed the relevant officials to ensure cleanliness, restoration of street lights and a better environment during Ramazan. He also reviewed the security arrangements and directed the law enforcement agencies to take effective steps for the convenience and safety of the public in the savings markets and markets.

He also inspected the process of installing large pina-flexes for awareness about Ramazan at important and prominent places of the city so that the people can get information about the official prices and administrative instructions.

The DC strictly instructed the traders to sell the products according to the prices set by the official price list at prominent places, otherwise strict action will be taken as per the law. He said that providing relief to the people during Ramazan is the first priority of the district administration and profiteering or manipulative inflation will not be tolerated in any way.

During the visit, the price, cleanliness, lighting, security and public facilities were also monitored at different places so that better facilities can be provided to the residents.
