HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Matiari Muhammad Yousif Shaikh chaired a meeting of the District Coordination Committee for the Revised National Action Plan (NAP) and directed the concerned officers to ensure complete security of Chinese engineers and other foreign experts working in the district under CPEC and non-CPEC projects, stating that no negligence in security matters will be tolerated under any circumstances.
According to a handout, during the meeting he said that under the National Action Plan, it was extremely important to further strengthen the law and order situation in the district, improve intelligence coordination and enhance effective communication among all institutions.
During the meeting, a detailed review was also conducted regarding the District Intelligence Committee, security arrangements for CPEC and non-CPEC projects, the repatriation plan for illegal foreigners, child protection measures and actions against human trafficking and forced labor.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that the registration process of all madaris in the district be completed at the earliest, and legal action be taken against unregistered madaris. He also instructed that pending NOCs should be decided without delay.
The meeting decided that strict action would be taken against the sale and transportation of illegal cigarettes, while relevant departments were directed to take immediate steps to remove illegal encroachments and unauthorized settlements. The DC instructed authorities to inspect both legal and illegal fuel pumps, seal those selling substandard or less-quantity petrol and take action against unregistered warehouses and submit reports accordingly.
Officers and representatives of all relevant departments of the district attended the meeting.
