DC Loralai lays foundation stone for digital library, women’s gymnasium

LORALAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Loralai Meeran Baloch laid the foundation stone of a double-storey digital library and a women’s gymnasium.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by DC Meeran Baloch, marking a new chapter in educational and social development and described as a historic milestone for the district.

Meeran Baloch reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to expanding modern educational and welfare facilities in the region.

Addressing the ceremony, Meeran Baloch emphasized that providing educational facilities aligned with contemporary needs remains one of the government’s top priorities. He described the establishment of the digital library as a “revolutionary initiative” for the youth of Loralai.

According to the DC, the facility will provide students with easy access to modern research tools, online educational content, digital resources, and advanced technology. This, he said, is expected to significantly enhance students’ academic capabilities and promote a culture of research and learning in the district.

In addition to the library, the foundation stone for a women’s gymnasium was also laid.

The deputy commissioner further added that development projects under BSDI Phase II are progressing rapidly across Loralai. He clarified that the Primary objective of these initiatives is to ensure the provision of basic amenities, improve educational standards, and promote social development in the district.
